The Role 🛼
Are you a consultative professional who enjoys both nurturing a core group of clients and the buzz of securing new ones? We’re seeking a Business Development Manager (Maternity Cover) to join us in London. You will be the person helping us expand our flagship online platform, Higherin.com, taking ownership of an existing mix of clients and a set of high-potential prospects.
You are someone who enjoys a varied day. You'll have the opportunity to generate your own leads through outbound prospecting, while also expertly managing the inbound leads that come through our B2B marketing. You are a thoughtful communicator who leads with a consultative approach, building genuine partnerships rather than just making a sale. Core Responsibilities 🍏
Consultative approach to:
Prospecting and driving new business
Managing and building relations with existing accounts
Growing each account through up-selling, top-ups, cross-selling and volume growth
Gaining customer commitment and ensuring successful onboarding
Account management:
Work with internal teams, facilitating communications including meetings, pitching, reporting, reviews and recommendations
Advising and supporting clients on their early talent attraction strategy
Influencing and pitching to senior decision makers
New Business:
Manage and expand new business pipeline through own outreach strategy to high value potential clients and converting inbound lead opportunities

Essential Skills and Experience 🔑
Consistent track record of growing an account base and hitting Sales targets over 3+ years
Track record handling full sales lifecycle from initial outreach, through to close
Experience within Recruitment/Tech/Media/Advertising Sales environment
Proven ability to generate new business pipeline and convert to client spend
Amazing (but not essential) if you have... 💭
Experience within early careers industry
Experience selling to senior HR professionals
Experience using Hubspot CRM and Notion
Hybrid working✨
We have a hybrid work set-up, and you'll be expected to work from our Brixton office every Thursday with our client-facing teams. Other travel to client offices (mostly in London) across the UK will be required.
Salary 💰
Between £34,000 and £39,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus commission.
